Like the previous Michigan events, this one was better than the last.  The weather was perfect for racing, the participants were great and we had a variety of cars this year, including some Corvettes, Saturns, and even a hard launching Syclone.  All in all total, we had over 75 cars in attendance this year.  This is great news because even though the rate to rent the track will be higher next year, I think we may be able to lower the admission price.  Some participants had problems with a little bit of tirespin, but the Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton continues to prove to be the best drag strip in Michigan, in track quality and the staff takes such good care of us.  If you missed this event and have never been to this track, you are missing out twofold.  The competition was great, and congratulations go to the bracket elimination winners.  We also had some great sponsors to make the event even more fun and exciting.  Those of you who are now regretting missing this year's event should plan on not missing the next one, because this event gets better and better every year.  Special thanks go to Scott Settlemire and the Camaro Legends Tour for helping to make the event more than just racing.  When the event was over, some met up at the Ionia State Park and had a fun and relaxing cookout just like last year.  

I do apologize for not being able to meet and talk with everyone.  The event wound up being a little larger than I had anticipated so by the end of the day, I was so tired that I skipped going to the park for the cookout and went home to relax.
