Mid Michigan
Mania 5
- The 5th Annual GM Event
PROUDLY
PRESENTED IN PART BY
BERGER
CHEVROLET
Like
the previous Michigan events, this one was better than the last, even
though it was bitter cold. The average temperature was around
45 degrees, bit that didn't stop participants in over 80 cars from
showing up and shivering while they prepared for a great day of racing.
The great traction and cold air provided many participants with
new best ET's and MPH, despite a strong headwind coming from the west.
The competition was great, and congratulations go to the bracket
elimination winners. We had some great sponsors (see
left of this page). Those of you who are now regretting missing
this year's event should plan on not missing the next one, because
this event gets better and better every year.
Like last year, special thanks go to Scott Settlemire and the Camaro
Legends Tour for bringing cars from their toybox and helping
to make the event more than just racing. Along with the Legends
Tour, Berger Chevrolet brought some great looking cars for all to
see, including the premiere of the prototype 2001 Berger SS.
I
am very glad that everyone had fun, and once again, I want to take
this time to thank everyone of you who attended and look forward to
seeing you next year if not sooner. Until then, I invite everyone
to feel free to contact me if you have any comments about this
event, or any suggestions for the next one. If you have something
to say about this event, I would very much like to hear it.
Drive safely, and have a great rest of the season! Watch out
for deer! :)
