Event Sponsorship/Advertising Information  Event Hotel Information The nearest major area to Stanton is Ionia, which is about a 30 minute drive (23 miles) from the track.  There is a beautiful Amerihost Inn hotel right in downtown Ionia.  The hotel is very clean and has an indoor pool, whirlpool, exercise room, free continental breakfast, and more.  AMERIHOST GROUP RATE INFORMATION (LIMITED AVAILABILITY): You MUST mention Michigan GM Event when reserving a room to get the following discounts.  Regular (2 double) - $65.95/night  King - $65.95/night  Whirlpool Room - $90.00/night  Exec./Jr. Exec. - $110.00/night  Prices do not include tax and other fees. Call the Amerihost at (616) 527-2200 to make your reservation There will be Ionia police that regularly patrol the parking lot, but no other security will be provided so you will be staying there at your own risk.  Event and hotel staff cannot be responsible for any damage or mishaps at the hotel.  Ionia is a small town, and seemingly has very little problems with car theft or vandalism but keep an eye out regardless. ALSO, parties at the event hotel the night before the event have become somewhat famous.  Please feel free to enjoy yourself but keep the partying at a respectable level.  :)  The Amerihost staff loves having us there each year, so let's not ruin that! :):) Another hotel in the area is a Super 8 hotel that is roughly 5 miles south of the event hotel.  Campground Information Also in Ionia is the Ionia State Park.  This is a modern campground and has 100 sites with electricity, a modern toilet/shower building and a sanitation station.  To make reservations, call 1-(800)-44PARKS, or for more information call the Park at (616)-527-3750 You can camp outside the track gates.
